yunè pinku - DC Rot [Video]

Emerging musician Yunè Pinku drops synth-led offering ‘DC Rot,’ a genre-blending production paying ode to skateboarding culture. With intricate instrumentals combining gentle vocals and easy-flowing melodies, the track captures Yunè’s boundary pushing brand of dance music, which completely pulls listeners in.

Speaking of the track, the rising star shared:

“DC Rot is an exploration of a year and all the things you do in one. Whether it’s coming out of hibernation and getting older, experiencing in excess whether that be negative or positive. Putting yourself out there and sometimes getting hurt, but just going on a pilgrimage of all the things you can and can’t do.”

Infused with the freedom that forms the roots of skate culture, the track also comes with visuals directed by Krishan Sharda, set against the cityscapes of London and the singer’s sister and pro skater Faith.

With a grounding feel juxtaposing the psychedelic feel of the song, ‘DC Rot’ makes for a strong first glance at Yunè Pinku’s upcoming debut EP Bluff as she sets herself up for bigger and better things in dance music and beyond.
