Kate Bollinger’s indie-pop song ‘Grey Skies’ is a hypnotic, lo-fi slice of sunshine with trippy, cyclical summer visuals to match.

The Charlottesville based singer-songwriter creates music that has a distinctly 70’s soft rock feel, producing chilled out slacker tracks where Bollinger’s melodic, layered- up vocals lull us into a daydream over sleepy guitar riffs wrapped in reverb. Though the young artist is currently a final year cinematography student at the University of Virginia, she has already made some huge waves on the indie-scene, supporting Soccer Mommy and touring with Wild Nothing while still finishing her degree. Her new EP, ‘A word becomes a sound’ is due for release on 21 August 2020 and available to pre-order now.
