Etta Bond - 2 METRES APART [EP]
Singer-songwriter Etta Bond takes to music to express her frustrations with the current lockdown, by delivering 2 METRES APART, a four-track EP accompanied with individual visuals to support the release.
With the ability to create relatable music, through honest self expression and emotion, Etta Bond is the perfect musical talent to help us comprehend the many feelings we as a community, have most probably encountered during this Covid-19 pandemic.
Supplying our ears with soothing R&B vocals laced over laid back, neo-soul infused productions, the EP delves deep into the mixed bag of emotions, developed through these times of uncertainty. From allowing our minds to magically drift into sunnier days with ‘On A Beach’ featuring Avelino, to acknowledging the painful need for change of routine with ‘Break My Quarantine,’ Etta blissfully portrays the mental strain we are all currently experiencing in one way or another.
The visuals for the four tracks were all shot during the lockdown, across a weekend in Etta’s apartment. If there’s one positive this lockdown has brought about, it’s the ability for many to explore creativity on their very own door steps. I really thought Etta was on a beach until you realise, nope she’s in her living room.
