Little known amongst even the most diligent of laid back R&B fans, Ambar Lucid is a 18-year old with wisdom beyond her years. A self-taught producer, guitarist and pianist, she proves herself adept at picking out emotion amongst even the most metaphorical of stories on ‘Candy.’

Unassuming and sweet, it’s the sonic equivalent of sherbet on the monkey bars after dark, a sour tang of edge to her voice as she cries out for ‘a piece of your psychedelic candy.’ The video imitates the melody, a lurid blend of neon colours blurring and bobbing across the screen. Cute but haunting, we’re highly intrigued to see what furtive fix she explores next.
