Head down to the Brick Lane Jazz Festival this weekend!

Get ready to be dazzled with the wonders of great music this weekend, as the Brick Lane Jazz Festival returns with a stellar line up of incredible acts from the London Jazz scene.

Kicking off this Friday 14 May, for three days Shoreditch's Truman Brewery will come alive to champion and showcase an array of new and established acts from the eclectic, genre-defying and forever growing London Jazz scene. Eight venues will become the heart and soul of Jazz for the entire weekend. Ninety One Living Room - home to the Jazz re:freshed stage, a movement and record label birthed by Justin McKenzie & Adam Moses. Since last year the pair have been hosting weekly Thursday night sessions at this very venue. Expect to be blown away by their selection of talent. We tip great performances from the likes of artist, producer and musician INSXGHT, Handson Family, Steam Down Presents, Poppy Daniels, David Mrakpor & Friends and Colectiva.

For the first time, Village Underground will also play host to the festival, with three separately ticketed events taking place across the weekend. Lex Amor will be blessing the stage on the opening night, along with our fav trio, Gotts Street Park taking to the stage on Sunday.

Brooklyn born, London based rapper Goya Gumbani is said to deliver a new transatlantic wave of music, offering his unique style and heartfelt lyrics at Werkhaus. The 93 Feet East (Main Bar) and Cafe 1001 will be free entry throughout the festival with a host of live PA's and DJ sets. Expect to see sister duo MELONYX and fellow Tru Thoughts label mates Anushka and WheelUP. Bel Cobain will be bringing her incredible vocals to the 93 Feet East (Live Room) on Saturday, along with conscious rapper Kay Young and Reuben James on Sunday night.

Brick Lane Jazz Festival joins forces with Tomorrow's Warriors as their charity partner for the 2023 edition of the festival, working together to create a unique opportunity to give back to the music community. Tomorrow's Warriors is a pioneering talent development agency, creative producer, learning and training provider, charity and consultancy specialising in jazz. It's provided a crucial development platform for many of the artists now tearing up the international jazz scene today. Brick Lane Jazz Festival will be making a profit donation to Tomorrow's Warriors' Artist Development Programme for 2023. The festival will also feature a programme of live showcases from Tomorrow's Warriors' emerging artists at the Brick Lane Tap Room throughout the weekend.
