The radiant Sim Fane and SIROJ produced single arrives as Amsterdam artist Joya Mooi drops details of her forthcoming studio album, which will be released in two parts, with Side A coming out on the 30th September and Side B following in 2023. In 'Roselle', Joya takes inspiration in the roselle hibiscus flower, which grows in parts of Africa, Asia, India, Australia and Latin America.

Joya explains: "Roselle is inspired by the roselle hibiscus flower - a celebration of cross-continental traditions, despite their painful origin. One plant (amongst many others) is part of the botanical legacy that connects the African Diaspora with the transatlantic slave trade. I think there's something magical and interesting about these traditions that exist over 400 years, stemming from a horrendous past."

‘Roselle’ arrives accompanied by a captivating music video that was shot in South Africa; a place the artist draws great inspiration from due to her father's heritage. Watch below.
