Emerging for the first time this year, FLOHIO channels an eerie aura in her pensive new single ‘Cuddy Buddy’. The piano and synth led track exemplifies the idiosyncratic mix of genres that we’ve come to expect from the iconic South-London artist, who effortlessly shapes her own sound by tapping into a spectrum of styles that includes electronic, rock, hip-hop and grime amongst others. ‘Cuddy Buddy’ also efficiently demonstrates why FLOHIO has been consistently recognized for her wise lyrics, clever rhymes and effortless flow.

Explaining her thinking behind the latest single, FLOHIO says, "Have you ever been at a point where you feel your energy being drained, because that was me, I was at a stage where I felt my energy being drained and Cuddy Buddy was me expressing how mentally tired I was. We captured the hook on the first day, but the verses I wanted it to be impactful so I kept coming back to it months after."

‘Cuddy Buddy’ additionally features production credits from long-standing collaborators God Colony, industrial hip-hop tastemakers and the brains behind early FLOHIO instrumentals ‘Fight’ and 'SE16’. The accompanying ‘Cuddy Buddy’ video, shot entirely on film and directed by Petr Simons, is a stunning visual accompaniment. Guided by brooding wide-angle shots that establish an uneasy atmosphere, the viewer is taken on an evocative journey following FLOHIO as she unleashes her trademark experimentally inclined flows in isolated locations that are steeped in a sense of unease and mystery.
