The DSTNGR Show | Oroko Radio | 22 April 2022

We return with our second Oroko Radio show, serving another dose of alternative soundscapes from the UK and beyond. Kicking off the show with the Blue Canariñho remix of ‘Feel Free’ by CassKid, featuring Nigerian singer-songwriter Ogranya - a truly magical track immersed with an array of genres from soul to baile.

Showing some love to Nneka, another Nigerian singer-songwriter who released her 13-track album ‘Love Supreme’ in February. The album titled track makes a feature in the show, followed by some jazz infused niceness from Asher Kosher with Bel Cobain, illiterate and Kzyboost’s collaboration with Layfullstop.

Tottenham rapper Coops, makes his return with ‘The Kid Is Back’, continuing with his raw and conscious lyricism, flowing into our favourite track of the show ‘Hubris’ by Tim Lyre, featuring Lex Amor - taken from Lyre’s recently released album ‘Worry <‘.

With the release of his ‘Tottenham EP’, we shine light on Frisco as he drops fire track, ‘Bad & Clean’ with the assistance of artist/producer INFAMOUSIZAK - no joke, the tune is literally BAD… and clean!

Toronto native Yarah, is an emerging artist we came across with her track ‘2me’. She recently released her project ‘Just for Now’, following on with more edgy R&B vibes. Another really magical display of sounds is with ‘How Would It Feel’ by London based artist, songwriter and producer Francesca Bergami, who goes my the alias Lyves.

With the release of his new album ‘It’s Almost Dry’, Pusha T’s ‘Neck & Wrist’ featuring Pharrell and Jay-Z closes out the show, the gritty yet impeccable production simply had to make an appearance.
