Denzel Curry - Zatoichi feat. slowthai [Video]

Floridian rapper Denzel Curry has dropped the second single from his forthcoming album Melt My Eyez See Your Feature, due for release soon via Loma Vista Recordings. Produced by Powers Pleasant, ‘Zatoichi’, holds a powerful energy as Denzel Curry highlights his cross-genre capabilities to weld together hip-hop with an energetic drum and bass rhythm.

The single features previous collaborator slowthai who joins Denzel on the climatic chorus which jolts into the drum and bass transition, unveiling Denzel’s experimental artistry and boldness. Describing his upcoming album Denzel shared, “I like traditional hip hop, I like drum and bass, I like trap, I like poetry, so a lot of that is going to be interwoven in this album including jazz and a lot of genres that I come up on as a kid and just being in my parents house. This album is made up of everything that I couldn’t give you on TA13OO or Imperial because I was going through depression or anger issues.”

The Adrian Villagomez-directed video for ‘Zatoichi’ was shot on-location in Peru and features impressive cinematography, taking inspiration from the legendary 1960s Japanese samurai movie character of the same name and the cult classic film Kill Bill Vol.2. Denzel Curry has also announced the news of a world tour kicking off this spring to support his forthcoming project.
