Northampton rapper DeBe further cements his place as one of the UK’s rising talents, with the release of his latest single. ‘NOT COPS’ hears DeBE adopt a pensive approach in his songwriting as he confronts his own harsh and unforgiving lifestyle.

“I had reached a point in life where everything I was doing was just becoming a joke,” he explained. “The dramas that come along with leading a life on the roads began to outweigh the benefits and my conscience kicked in.” Under the hard-hitting bars lies a production laced with grit, characterised by the looming walking synths and heavy trap beat. The video for the track shows an insightful representation of DeBe’s life, depicting the potential consequences of his often-scandalous life choices.

Having released his acclaimed full-length debut, The Last Breath, in February 2021, DeBe continues to hold the momentum with more clever delivery and sharp lyricism.
