Lady Donli - Searching [Video]

Emerging star Lady Donli is back with an exciting new single and sinister music video. ‘Searching’ is the latest track from the artist nicknamed ‘The Pan African rockstar’ and serves as the next single from her latest EP ‘W I L D’.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio and raised in Abuja, Nigeria - Lady Donli draws upon her rich heritage and diverse influences to effortlessly blend R&B, Alternative Jazz and Hip Hop amongst African inspired sounds that carry her music. Finding the silver lining in life, she spent much of the last year improving her skill set as a musician, resulting in an EP that captures her musical dexterity and motivation.

In a statement about the EP, Lady Donli shared: “I feel like 2020 was WILD for a lot of people. We went through so many emotions. I was sad, then relieved, then desperate to be out, and I feel like the music is a reflection of that. All my lockdown emotions in one little project.” 

The video for ‘Searching’ directed by Stephanie Amata is a haunting visual leaving many questions, with bright beach scenes providing a stark contrast to the dark murder that appears to have taken place.
