Tkay Maidza - Syrup [Video]

Witness Tkay Maidza’s transformation in her freshest set of outlandish visuals for her latest song, ‘Syrup’.

Directed by Jenna Marsh, the latest video from the Zimbabwe-born, Australia-raised singer and rapper is as strange as it is beguiling. The sci-fi styled release follows on from her futuristic take on Pixies’ ‘Where Is My Mind’ alongside its mesmerising visualizer, and her team effort with Yung Baby Tate, ‘Kim’, which boasts an off the scale cut dedicated to three iconic Kims of our time: Kim Kardashian, rapper Lil’ Kim and of course, cartoon character Kim Possible. Once again recruiting the production talents of Dan Farber (Lizzo, Dizzee Rascal, Gorgon City) the dark sound of ‘Syrup’ is enhanced by this striking music video which captures Tkay taking on the night like some sort of alien bad-gal. Such bold looks and sounds come as no surprise when they’re driven by this 24-year-old pioneer - every move she makes is utterly fearless!
