Rising star of neo-soul IYAMAH, gets open-hearted about a relationship on the rocks for her single, ‘Sofa’.

Hot on the heels of ‘More’ featuring Coops and her ‘Truth EP.2’ project, Brighton’s IYAMAH returns with a relatable and raw offering that explores a toxic relationship that she can’t help but go back to. Led by an acoustic guitar and wondrously flowy vocals, the influence of two of IYAMAH’s faves, Erykah Badu and Lauryn Hill can be felt all over this soulful hit. The catchy ballad arrives with a beautifully directed visual from Rafael Ramirez that cuts to the core of the confusing emotions that pervade an unhealthy on/off romance. The thoughtful cinematography and fashionable styling, led by Harry Coleman and Oumou Longley respectively, are particularly strong and we come away from watching this ‘IYAMAH story’ with a sense that we know this artist and the path she’s trodden a lot better.
