Yeek - Valencia [Video]

Genre-bending Filipino-American artist Yeek gives us a taste of his upcoming album ‘Valencia’ with the release of its spellbinding title track.

Yeek’s latest is a hypnotic hit of R&B where the artist gently croons over dense electronic production. Rhythmic and vibey, ‘Valencia’ is hard to shake off, with its hooky chorus line, “whole gang gotta eat, bout to have a whole feast,” catching us every time it circles back. Yeek’s forthcoming album of the same name will be his first big release since his 2019 EP ‘IDK WHERE’. Set to feature contributions from sound engineer Jeff Ellis (Frank Ocean, Snoh Aalegra, Omar Apollo), the forthcoming project will focus on personal themes, centred around Yeek himself and his reflections on family ties and the ups and downs of love. ‘Valencia’ will also be accompanied by a short film which will depict the artist’s relationship to his goals, his hopes and his drive to strike the right balance between independence and collaboration.
