JAE5 - Dimension feat. Skepta, Rema [Video]

East London’s star producer JAE5 teams up with Nigerian artist Rema and Skepta as he leads his first tune, ‘Dimension’.

The rhythmic fresh sounds of ‘Dimension’ are undeniably the result of JAE5’s brilliance in the studio. The MOBO Award winning producer’s bright blend of Afrobeats, bashment, hip-hop and dubstep has cropped up in some of the biggest hits in the last four years, including his work with Jhus on his album’s ‘Big Conspiracy’ and ‘Common Sense’. Now, JAE5 is ready to take on the spotlight. In ‘Dimension’, JAE5 pays tribute to his Ghanaian roots with its rich and colourful music-video, presenting a modern portrayal of the West African country’s diverse and exciting culture. Rema’s mood-boosting vocal hooks flow smoothly over the track’s fluttering rhythms, while Skepta steps in to deliver some cutting observations in his distinctive tone and authoritative delivery. It’s warm, catchy, and has plenty of flavour, thanks to the pairing of these two contrasting, but well-matched voices.

Speaking on the single JAE5 says, “For my first single, I wanted to pull off something that represented me well. It had to be heavily influenced by Afrobeats and the UK urban scene. Skepta and Rema are the perfect combination. Dimension is a meaningful track with a vibe! Skepta as always delivers the maddest verse and Rema on the hook - that guy just isn’t normal!
