Rising Lagos born, Accra based artist WES7AR 22 (pronounced Westar Twenty Two), releases his latest single and music video, ‘Holy Water’.

With ‘Holy Water’ being Nigerian slang for Palm Wine, the emerging West African artist depicts the freedom that comes with consuming the alcoholic beverage and relieving ourselves from the unnecessary stresses of external influences. Singing words of encouragement, the 4PLAY and Console Chronikz produced single guides listeners to find peace within themselves, no matter the situation and to simply enjoy the holy water, “sweet water.”

Directed by Kevin Hudson, the music video contains scenes that match the fun, lighthearted and positive theme of the song. In addition, the inclusion of energetic choreography throughout complements WES7AR 22’s calm, cool and collected performance. Speaking on the inspiration behind the song, the emerging artist shared, “I created ‘Holy Water’ to highlight the importance of navigating life according to our own terms and to find each high and low beautiful, as it’s what makes us, us.”

Although a relatively fresh artist, WES7AR 22 shows some promise with this single. Watch and enjoy the music video below:
