Hyenah - Ezizweni feat. DJ Tira & Luke Ntombela [Audio]
Afro House champion Hyenah teams up with Durban DJ, producer and Kwaito artist DJ Tiro and Afro-jazz singer Luke Ntombela in the entrancing club track ‘Ezizweni’.
A mesmerising dance track if ever we heard one! ‘Ezizweni’, which has been unveiled by Sef Kombo and Louie Dunmore as their debut release under their new imprint Sondela, was originally teased during the duo’s ‘We Dance As One’ livestream for Defected. ‘Ezizweni’ is a strong representation of the exciting Afro-influenced music Sondela aims to champion, fizzing with a slow build of energy, mixing Hyenah and DJ Tira’s confident production, Ms. Ntombela’s silky vocals and enjoyably hypnotic beats and rhythmic synths. Hyenah is paving the way for the genre to take off in Europe, hosting Watergate’s RISE residency, one of the few regular African House club nights in Berlin, as well as hosting his now infamous Boiler Room set.
