Emerging artist Mmzy steps up to the plate and takes on corruption in Africa via his powerful tune, ‘Animal’ featuring musician Seun Kuti, the youngest son of the late legendary multi-instrumentalist, pioneer of Afrobeats and political activist Fela Kuti.

The intriguing track arrives alongside a powerful, eye-catching video that craftily pairs more typical shots of dancers and artists performing for the camera with provocative scenes depicting corruption. According to a statement shared by Mmzy on his Facebook page, the release has proven itself to be controversial enough to warrant an attempt to silence him with a ban of his Instagram account. Sharing a link to the single, Mmzy ended the post on a defiant note, asserting, “The truth about corrupt government must be heard.”
