19-year-old rapper Baby Keem unveils his bold new single ‘hooligan’ along with a striking tongue-in-cheek music video, directed by Jake Schreier.

As Kendrick Lamar’s cousin, it’s fair to say that Baby Keem has some big shoes to fill, but the artist has already widely impressed with his 2019 album, the bluntly named ‘Die for My Bitch’ and he’s been named by many as a future rap-star. The single, ‘hooligan’, was released, alongside another, ‘sons & critics freestyle’, on pgLang, a new company created to support specially selected projects and creators founded by Kendrick Lamar and Dave Free.

The visuals for ‘hooligan’ offer a certain deadpan humour, depicting Baby Keem staring blankly out at us as beautiful, half-dressed women (a different one in each scene) mouth the words to his verses. What’s his message here? It’s hard to know, but we are definitely intrigued by his emotionless, empty expression and the number of ladies he seems to have courted. From this release, we can assume that Baby Keem will continue to attract interest and gain followers with his exquisite flow, slick instrumentals and uncompromising attitude.
