British musician Kay Young releases her new single ‘Going Through,’ displaying her skill in lyricism, song and production as she performs over her self-produced track.
An emotionally-vulnerable offering which follows the musician’s Roc Nation debut ‘Sweet Dreams,’ the new single begins with an open letter to Young’s late grandmother, declaring a heartfelt ‘Thank You,’ along with a pledge ‘to do better’ and build upon the foundations passed down. The need for hope and faith resonates strongly throughout the track, reflecting heavily on present times whilst exploring church, family dynamics, foundational lessons and grief. The intricacies of life are very much existent however “still I push on through,” sings Young.
