Lovelle - Therapy [EP Stream]
R&B songstress Lovelle follows the release of her latest single ‘Beggin,’ with her stunning EP ‘Therapy.’
A personal exploration of vulnerability through to strength, the creation of this 7-track project acted as a healing process for the South-East London based artist, hence the titling of the EP. “I wanted to end the project on a reflection of everything I had experienced over the past few years with my spiritual, mental and emotional growth,” shares Lovelle. “I wanted to sing words that I know I would need to hear when times feel tough.”
From the battles of toxic relationships, through to resilience and then positive outcomes - the EP takes us on a short but sweet journey into the emotional highs and lows, Lovelle has experienced over the last few years. The inclusion of voice notes within the EP, gives the project that extra element of personality and authenticity. We absolutely love ‘Voice Note 2 - Trxth’ which captures Lovelle practising acapella whilst playing the guitar. The singer makes a mistake, becomes frustrated and then an encouraging voice comes in and tells her to keep going. Just knowing someone is in your corner to keep edging you on, is quite a beautiful notion and it’s captured perfectly within this project.
