PREMIERE: Joe Xu - Red Envelope EP Visual [Video]

We are delighted to premiere this stunning music visual by Joe Xu, an exceptional new talent who we are just in complete awe of right now. Having released her debut EP ‘Red Envelope’ on 13 December 2019 via CASABLAC, the young artist showcases her range of creative abilities, having taught herself how to produce and record music in the comfort of her own bedroom.

Her creativity doesn’t stop there neither, Xu brings to life her ‘Red Envelope’ EP with a short self edited and graded film, exploring her life as a young woman with Chinese heritage entwined in a western society. As a whole, the project is a beautiful offering of modern day soul and R&B music, with subtle additions of East Asian influence.

Joe Xu is a 20 year old singer, songwriter and self taught producer from Sweden. She released her debut single ‘Dark Chocolate’ in May 2019, followed by ‘Chess Piece’ in September 2019 and had already become a talent of interest by the release of her debut EP. In such a short space of time Xu’s music has reached many internationally, amassing thousands of streams across the globe.
