Ethiopian born, Stockholm raised singer-songwriter Naliyah releases her debut single ‘Show Me Love,’ a call out for genuine emotion from her loved one, opposed to empty words.
A third culture kid influenced by Ethiopian jazz and church music, Naliyah’s musical abilities was very much developed during her time in gospel choir ‘Joyful Noise,’ a subgroup of the infamous ‘Tensta Gospel Choir’ in Stockholm. With a soothing sound that encompasses elements of soul and hip hop, Naliyah’s vocal gives that added sparkle of jazz, as she comes with a recognisable bluesy tone.
Now 21 years of age, in 2018 Naliyah made the decision to explore her love of music in a more vibrant scene and moved to London. Since being in the UK capital, her love for soul has grown even stronger and here she is, with her first ever single.
