Saint Bodhi drops the evocative floral visuals for her poignant rap track ‘Zombie’ from her exciting debut album, ‘Mad World’.

The Los Angeles artist has recently taken the leap from songwriting for big-name artists to pursuing her own career, releasing her first full-length solo album this month. ‘Mad World’ is an eclectic rap-led offering that mixes R&B and hip-hop with innovative electronic production and Saint Bodhi’s authoritative delivery and captivating vocals. It avoids the typical routes taken and shows Saint Bodhi’s adaptability and originality as a songwriter and artist.

‘Zombie’ is the perfect example of what she does so well - delivering slickly written lyrics with captivating flow over well-crafted, infectious chord progressions and cool, vibrant beats. The track deftly tells the sad story of a woman on a downward spiral - experiencing addiction then engaging in sex work to fuel a superficial lifestyle - with stunning honesty and street-smart wisdom. The song’s beautiful video, directed by Logan Fields, seems to portray a whimsical representation of the cold harsh reality of death, with Saint Bodhi slowly becoming one with the flowers that are sprouting all around her. Could this be where the song’s subject is heading?
