YEИDRY - El Diablo [Video]

Dominican / Italian artist YEИDRY releases the self-assured single ‘Diablo’ and a vivacious music video to match.

YEИDRY caught a lot of attention recently when her COLORS performance of her single ‘Nena’ went live in September and amassed over a million views. As she works on her upcoming album, the trilingual singer-songwriter seems to be teasing us with some exciting singles as we run up to the project. Writing songs inspired by her personal experiences and contemporary issues, YEИDRY boasts a uniquely rich, silky voice that complements her tropical sounding tunes that blend Caribbean and European electronic sounds. In ‘Diablo’, the artist shows us what she’s made of over warm licks of an acoustic guitar, proudly boasting, “I’m the devil”, in Spanish.

Speaking on the single, YEИDRY explains,“I was in LA when I recorded this song, and during dinner one night I was approached by ‘that guy’ in a flashy sports car who was being aggressive and insisted on paying for my meal.  When recording the song, I thought about that feeling, wanted to turn the tables, and be the powerful evil aggressor.”
