Genre-bending singer-songwriter Mysie drops brilliant synth-soaked track ‘Patterns’.

Following a spate of similarly intriguing yet highly accessible singles, the London rising-star releases another evocative offering in the form of ‘Patterns’. At the centre of this single are its uplifting synth-led hooks and intricate electronic beats, but it’s Mysie’s arresting voice that gets us leaning in. Her emotionally raw delivery is captivating and the layered up vocals give the song a subtle otherworldly quality. Just like in her music, the visuals Mysie puts together are tinged with experimentalism and hint at her affinity for the avant-garde. In the simple yet artistic video for ‘Patterns’, Mysie leads a stripped-back performance against a black backdrop, ensuring that the focus lands on her music and the meaning behind it. “This song is about recognising the patterns within myself, and within my relationships,” explains the breakthrough South London artist. “It’s about me acknowledging them and searching for freedom from them, making a conscious decision to break these habits and instead strive for growth and progress.”
