Brooklyn-based quintet Phony Ppl drop their catchy groove inflected jam ‘On My Shit’ featuring Joey Bada$$.

The innovative hip-hop collective is built from vocalist Elbee Thrie, Aja Granton keys, guitar player Elijah Rawk, bass player Bari Bass(!) and drummer Matt Byas (Elijah, Bari and Elbee’s names are their music monikers). Together they make bouncy hip hop tunes infused with a spritz of funk, soul and R&B. In the music video for the cheekily named track, the group are captured driving around, partying it up and mining for a mysterious rock on the planet ‘Euphonyus’, as described in the Star Wars-esque explainer at the beginning of the visual. Joey Bada$$ adds a little extra flavour to proceedings delivering some boisterous bars partway through, heightening the party atmosphere to full on feel-good levels.
