Ahead of her upcoming EP ‘EnRoot’, emerging UK rap phenomenon Tia Carys drops another bold and unignorable track, ‘Reflect In Mirrors’.

Tia Carys again demonstrates her prowess as one of Britain’s most exciting up-and-coming hip-hop acts. Like many artists with superstar potential, Carys has a rich and varied music taste which includes a love of Dolly Parton, Lauryn Hill, Amy Winehouse, classic reggae and contemporary UK rap. Appreciating and absorbing a wide range of sounds, as well as being drawn towards iconic, groundbreaking female artists, has clearly worked its magic. Creatively minded, wise and self-assured, Carys - who’s only 20 - seems set to become one such act. On ‘Reflect In Mirrors’, Carys poetically details the complexities that crop up in your teenage years, performing with captivating, emotionally raw delivery and flawless flow over a chunky bass line and skittering beats. Her upcoming EP, described as ‘a melange of rap, drill, and dembows (that) speaks directly to the challenges young people face growing up: everything from friendships and relationships, to self-harm, social media, and sexuality’ is out on 27th November, so get excited.
