Peep Stefflon Don behind the scenes as she boogies on set for her afro-beats inspired track ‘Can’t Let You Go’.
The British artist follows her recently released single ‘Move’ with another dance-friendly tune and a fun down-to-earth visual, showing her having a good time in the studio filming her very own The Lon Don Show, with special guest Julie Adenuga. The single is inspired by those fantasy feelings of lust and romance that linger, even with the knowledge that someone isn’t quite right for you. Stefflon Don’s voice is warm and uplifting over the chilled out instrumentals, bringing out the easygoing feeling of summer even as we head deeper into Autumn.
Speaking on the release, Stefflon Don says, “For this track, I wanted to lean into my natural singing voice and also experiment with doing some of the melodies in Yoruba. The overall vibe of the track is underpinned by a sultry Afro Beats sound. I always love to fuse all of my cultural influences into my work, because I am very much inspired by different parts of the world.”
Standing in solidarity for the terrible events that are currently taking place in Nigeria, Steff has personally donated funds to support the #EndSARS movement against the ongoing police brutality in the country. In a time where such cruelty is taking place in the world, it’s beautiful to see people of influence taking the time to bring awareness and give support to such causes.
